Middle School Sports

We have a variety of sports available for seventh and eighth-grade students. As a member of the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA), we participate in the Northwest Middle School Athletic League (NWMSL), competing in five seasons with other seventh and eighth-grade teams from Skagit County.  Students have the opportunity to take part in 10 athletic activities, fielding 24 interscholastic competitive teams, along with intramural teams for all students.

Because we are limited by the number of students who may travel in each sport, there may be intramural squads that play each other while JV and Varsity squads will travel. At North Whidbey, all students are encouraged to turn out and participate.
Sports are a great way for students to build relationships with others, boost self-confidence, learn how to work as a team, and increase coordination.  
Requirements for Athletics Participation:

• Sports Physical Form (good for 2 years)
• Complete your students account in Final Forms

• Photos will be available for order 5 business days after they’re taken
• Photos will be available for 5 days after they’re displayed to place your order and will be shipped directly to the school
• Photos will still be available after the 5 days, however a shipping charge will be added and they will be shipped directly to your home.
