The North Whidbey Middle School Jazz Band is an after-school ensemble. This ensemble is made up of students who are interested in learning and performing the art of jazz. We work out of a method book that takes us through all the different styles and how to read and interpret jazz rhythms.

Jazz band is open to all 7^th and 8^th grade bands students who play the following instruments: saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, and the drum kit.
