Mr. Briddell teaches science and reading for the Voyager Team.

Seventh grade science is a year-long course emphasizing life science. This means that we will explore the following topics in our class: cell structures and functions, genetics and inheritance, natural selection and evolution, ecology/ecosystems, human body systems, classification, and kingdoms of life. This will be done through individual and group work in the form of discussions, labs, research projects and other activities. In addition to these particular topics, we will focus on the scientific process and the communication of ideas in science. There are many future scientists out there.  You may be one of them!

In reading class, we will work on becoming more effective readers.  Class will center around learning skills such as summarizing, predicting, active reading, identifying elements of stories (plot, setting, etc.), and much more.  We will be reading A Day No Pigs Would Die by Robert Newton Peck.
