The math curriculum in 7th grade is called Connected Mathematics Project (CMP for short).  It is used in grades 6 – 8 in our district.  It is a challenging and thorough math program that promotes guided and discovered learning, instead of a lecture-style environment.  Students are accountable for their notes dictated by the teacher, and also for personal reflection and discovery.
