Social Studies in 8th grade is a year-long class which concentrates on United States History from pre-European contact until 1877.  If a student passes Social Studies this year, they will meet the state requirement for Washington State History.

We will be be doing a variety of activities in Social Studies this year, including research projects, class discussion, and writing activities.

The books we will be using are History of Us by Joy Hakim.
